You’re ingesting these yummy chemicals: amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate.
Fact #2: Preservatives
Junk food generally contains many additives and preservatives. Health experts say that they can increase the risk of hyperactivity in children. A diet high in processed foods and soft drinks, a “junk food” diet, may lead to peaks and troughs in blood sugar, with associated periods of hyperactivity and lethargy.
Fact #3: Restlessness
Children who consume junk on a regular basis are said to experience restlessness. Many parents do notice restlessness and hyperactivity after events such as eating at fast-food restaurants.
Fact #4: Trans Fats

Most of the sodas made in the US contain high amounts of acid in it which can damage your insides after prolonged usage. Whether you call it soda, pop, or soda pop, the high acid content of this popular beverage will still irreversibly erode the enamel on your teeth.

A single can of any sugary drink such as soda comes with nearly a dozen spoons of sugar. That much of sugar can harm your system in many ways. A 12-ounce can of regular Coke contains 39 grams of total sugar, which is about 9 1/3 teaspoons of sugar. Most fast food restaurants will offer up to 36 Oz cups! That’s a whopping 117 grams of sugar!

The preservatives used in French fries is said to increase the risk of asthma and certain skin conditions. Let’s take a look at McDonald’s fries ingredients. Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Natural Beef Flavor [Wheat and Milk Derivatives]*, Citric Acid [Preservative]), Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (Maintain Color), Salt.
All of that just for a french fry which should simply be a potato sliced?
Fact #8: PCOS & Diabetes
Another study claims that the risk of Polycystic-Ovarian Syndrome may increase in women who consume too much of junk food. America’s obesity epidemic is so serious that more and more people with PCOS are developing Insulin Resistance and Type II Diabetes in their twenties and having heart attacks in their thirties. Fast food is a major culprit in this crisis and there are scientific reasons why it’s so difficult to quit eating such high.
Fact #9 Overeating
Research claims that regular intake of junk foods can make the brain feel like overeating all the time. This alters the eating behaviors temporarily.
