Why Do We Feel Hungry?

In a scientific study, our body- the cells in our intestines and stomach, in particular, produces hormones called ghrelin. This hormone triggers our cells to feel hungry. Another cause of hunger is when we lack fat, fiber, and protein in our diet. All of these are essential nutrients which promote the feeling of fullness and they reduce or suppress appetite as well. Even after eating vigorously, if these nutrients are not present in the food you consume, you might still feel hungry.
